MK14 tattoo design and inspiration

Redesign of this (Sketchbook page #20) tattoo that I wanted to get when I finished my degree in engineering.

I made the top left one in a rush after watching one episode of LA ink and decided that I wanted to get it right away, I couldn't wait! That was months ago.

I kept drawing and highlighting the key elements I wanted it to have, it had to be logical from a physical point of view (no unnecesary cogs), it had to match the elbow joint and the muscles and move with them, had to look like an open injury, that shows not only the inside but also an electronic skin, had to be very realistic and coloured.

The last picture (the collage) is what I gave the tattoo artist, which includes notes and some inspirational images, such as:

Arm effects practice - for the neumatic muscles
'I, robot' film - for the blue glow and the teared skin
'Ironman' film - come on, is there anything cooler??
